Important information that YOU should know...

It all depends on what it is that you are trying to achieve. If this therapy is health related, there is a general recommendation from the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) to get a series of at least three treatments within about a 2 week period. (This is not the answer to the question of how many sessions someone will need. Please read further.)

Most Colon Hydrotherapists will offer you a package of at least 3 sessions - for better results. However, under the I-ACT (International Association of Counselors & Therapists) advocate that that one session will not get your colon completely clean. It simply does not work that way. Because the therapy is way too gentle and the colon is way too long. The sessions are about 45 minutes long that it is recommended to do a series.

You should have your first two sessions within 24-48 hours of each other. Why?

* 70% of the blood that passes through your body also passes through your colon. On the 1st session, old toxins are going to be stirred up and may get out into your bloodstream. Having your 2nd session within 24-48 hours will help eliminate some of the toxins that have been stirred up - so you are not walking around feeling tired, run down and lethargic.

* Most people do not drink nearly enough water. Because your colon loves water, on your first session it may act like a sponge and absorbs a lot of water. This is good in the sense that it will have a softening effect on fecal matter even long after your session. Because of this softening effect (and other factors), approximately 95% of the time people will have a better release on their second session than they do on their first session.

Give your body a rest for about a week after your first 2 sessions, and follow up with the 3rd session. Because of how long our sessions are, about 70% of our clients who followed this protocol can now say that after their 3rd session they have completed their colon cleanse. They can now move to the maintenance program (see below).

Some people will still need a few more sessions because they had slower initial results (which is rare but possible) and/or had more accumulated fecal matter in their colon. Sometimes the waste is so dense and impacted in the colon that it may take a few more sessions to sufficiently soften and loosen it.

You can stop your treatments at any time, however it would like stopping a prescribed antibiotic halfway thru the process for treating an infection and then feel it did not work for you. So the number of sessions truly depends on a number of factors and prevailing conditions. Your life style, level of stress, eating habits, age group, whether you have a blockage constipation, etc.; are you regular in your bowel movements - 2 to 3 per day?

Finally, after you complete your cleanse, it would be advisable that you maintain this therapy until you feel your state of health has improved.
